cast iron pans
Even though I have quite a collection of All-Clad and a couple odd non-stick fry pans, I really like cooking in cast iron pans. I prefer the older pans when I can get them, they seem to have fewer hot spots and they have a smoother surface texture, but I will purchase a newer pan when it is something that I can not find or get in an old pan - like the Lodge lasagna pan.
I figure I will just start taking pictures of pans and adding them to this blog now and then, just to get some more playing time with my camera.
I finally got myself a lid for my Griswold square fry 9 1/2" pan today. This is my favourite bacon and hot sandwich pan. As you can see it is just the glass lid so I am still looking for one with the cast iron lid.
