Not exactly in the kitchen, but part of the infrastructure needed by the kitchen, plus a bit extra work.

We had the HVAC contractors back the last couple of days putting in the new externally mounted hood exhaust fan and the make-up air system. The extra work was having them replace the three bathroom fans with a single heat recovery ventilator, and while we had the electrician in the attic, put in a couple of attic lights and an outlet.

We went with a Fantech RE-10XLT, 10" roof mounted, exhaust fan with a RSK-10 backdraft damper and a LD-10 silencer for the range hood exhaust system. This will give us up to 700 CFM exhaust from the kitchen.
