Ball Freezer Jar
Introduction
Summer is almost over and I am taking the last of the berries off the bushes this weekend and saving some of them for winter. I only have three blueberry bushes in the yard right now, but one bush gives me and my wife enough berries for meals during the summer and I get to save the rest for winter.
I have tried a lot of different freezer containers over the years and these and the StorKeeper Freezer Storage containers are the best that I have found for now.
Equipment review
These little jars are inexpensive, seal well, and are easy to open and close. Because of these jars I am not doing any traditional canning/preserving of my berries this year - just freezing.
The only thing that would make them better for my use is to have two other sizes: one half the size so I do not use only half the jar for experimental refrigerator jams, and one twice the size so I am not putting up two dozen jars of blueberries at the end of the summer.
