The Food Network Awards

The Food Network Awards have got to be the stupidest thing to come out of the Food network yet.

The only shows able to win are Food Network shows. With the Emmy Awards, it isn't just the programs on the hosting network that are able to win, but shows from all networks. The MTV Awards aren't for the best VJ, but for the best videos that are produced by someone else.

The most frightening thing about the foodTV awards, is that there are people that will actually watch and care about them.

This is just one more show that is moving me further away from Food Network. I hit my reality-tv limit each week when there are new "Take Home Chef" shows. If all I see are contest/award/reality shows instead of food shows listed in the schedule, I just do not bother turning on the tube that night.
