Since I'm experimenting with making most of my bread this winter in the bread machine, I decided to try using the dough cycle to make pizza dough for dinner tonight. It's a 6 cup recipe, and a 4 cup machine, which led to a little tweaking. I don't want to drop all the way to 4 cups, because that would make less dough than I really like for the two of us, but 5 cups should be enough. Hopefully it won't rise beyond the edge of the pan.

It worked well. It was certainly easier than making the dough by hand or with a stand mixer.

I still prefer the by hand

I still prefer the by hand method though I do use the Kitchenaid once or twice a year.

I think doing it by hand or

I think doing it by hand or in the stand mixer produced a better dough, but using the bread machine allowed me to dump everything in and walk away for two hours. It will give me the ability to have pizza on busy days when I din't have any good dough in the freezer. The machine doesn't let me do a slow rise or make a sourdough sponge, so it will never match those methods either.
