Are all of these one day

Are all of these one day markets?

These are all one day

These are all one day markets. That is one of the reasons that I use so many of them. I would like to try to buy what I will be cooking for dinner each day from the farmers' markets but I can not because there are none available to me that are open every day. I can get to these markets without doing a lot of extra driving - except for Forest Grove which I only go to when I am performing at it or when I want some really good tamales.

I am now on the top of the waiting list for a local CFA and I hope to start using that for most of my produce next year. It would be nice if there were more CFAs local to me but there are not. So I just signed up and waited. It took a year and a half to get to the top of the list.

At least you still have four

At least you still have four days worth of them to choose from. I know there are some farm stands out west off 26th (or at least there used to be) but they aren't all that convenient. The Olympia Farmer's market is a decent one and it's open Thu-Sun Beginning in April then they go to Sat-Sun in November and December. But I have to go out of my way to go there, so I only go every couple of weeks.

Lacey is closer and smaller and they are open Sat-Sun in the summer. There's a Saturday market that opened down in Tenino, that I haven't made it to yet. Last year was their first year.

I know of 2 decent farm stands nearby that I can go to if I really want to, but during the season it's mostly for corn since we get a lot of our food from our own garden. I think I may have over-did-it on the tomato plants this year, I have 69 and L came home with 3 from someone at work that grows starts to give out.

Don't you mean CSA (Community Supported Agriculture)? At least that's what I'm familiar with.

CFA was what I was thinking

CFA was what I was thinking when I was typing - but you know how well I type. I still keep mkae linked to make on my development system.
